Au Parc national Virunga, en République Démocratique du Congo, la lutte contre le braconnage bat son plein au quotidien. Ce week-end, un des rangers du parc a cassé internet grâce à sa photo où deux gorilles s’invitent face à l’objectif, comme s’ils étaient ses propres potes.

Partagé sur Facebook et sur Instagram, l’image est rapidement devenue virale grâce à son aspect « détente ». En effet, on aperçoit les deux gorilles en arrière-plan poser comme des mannequins, ou des potes qui veulent s’incruster dans la photo.

You might have recently seen caretakers Mathieu and Patrick’s amazing selfie with female orphaned gorillas Ndakazi and Ndeze inside the Senkwekwe center at Virunga National Park. Le ranger Mathieu Shamavu anti-braconnage a commenté la photo avec humour : « Un autre jour au bureau ». Les deux femelles gorilles se prénomment Ndazaki et Ndeze et avaient été secourues par les rangers du parc lorsqu’elles étaient bébés. Elles ont donc grandi avec ces soldats et apparaissent naturellement très familières avec eux. « Ces gorilles femelles ont toujours été comme ça, cette image parfaite montre leurs personnalités » explique le parc sur sa publication Instagram.
